International Capacity Building

Nuclear forensics lab experts work with international organizations such as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism (GICNT) and others to provide familiarization workshops in nuclear forensics for countries across the globe. Nuclear forensics scientific experts also work collaboratively with countries who seek to apply their existing technical capabilities to a nuclear forensics examination, and/or who aim to advance the science of nuclear forensics. These collaborations are critical to building an international network of nuclear forensics practitioners who can identify material outside of regulatory control and confidently link this material to people, places, processes and events.
